Yesterday, the Arizona Supreme Court upheld an 186

Yesterday, the Arizona Supreme Court upheld an 1864 territorial law that bans abortion in almost every circumstance. This arcane law was passed before Arizona was even a state and before women could vote. This decision is a substantial setback to reproductive freedom, but we know that when we work together to stand up for our constitutional rights, we win.

LSDA believes that every person deserves the right to access an abortion and the reproductive care of their choice. This year, abortion rights are on the ballot, and we are committed to supporting pro-choice candidates across the nation. Join us today in advocating for reproductive rights, voting rights, and more. We, the voters, are the only thing standing between Trump and a second term in the White House. Another Trump presidency would be disastrous for our democracy, and we must stand together to ensure he does not win in November.

Yesterday, voters across the country showed up to defend democracy, protect women’s right to choose, and support Democrats up and down the ballot.

Some of the highlights:

✅ In Kentucky, where we placed our Voter Protection Fellow, Owen Flomberg, voters re-elected Democratic Governor Andy Beshear.
✅ In Ohio, voters passed Issue 1, which codifies the right to access an abortion in the state constitution.
✅ In Virginia, voters not only upheld the state Senate’s Democratic majority, but they also helped Democrats flip the state House of Representatives!

We want to thank the countless organizers, activists, and advocates who made these victories possible. Now, onward to 2024!
